| This Poplar Table is 48" x 96", made for a local family with many young children, is dyed with analine dyes and finished with hand-rubbed varnish. The top is 1 1/2" thick and is hand planed. The plane marks are clearly visible. The legs are 4" square. I added spacers to the feet of the benches that can be removed when the younger children grow taller.

| Pennsylvania Spice Chest, Cherry, natural color, hand-rubbed varnish. The second photo is of the interior. Pieces such as this were used by cabinet makers in older times to take to prospective clients to show the quality of their work. (Easier now with the Internet!) The actual color of this piece is somwhere in between the two photos. |
